Clark Atlanta, Harvard to Support Up-and-Coming HBCU Presidents

Atlanta, GA – A landmark partnership between Clark Atlanta University (CAU) and Harvard University’s Institute for Education (HGSE) aims to empower the next generation of HBCU presidents with the leadership skills and resources necessary to navigate the challenges and opportunities facing historically Black colleges and universities.

This groundbreaking initiative, dubbed the HBCU Presidential Leadership Institute, will offer a comprehensive program tailored to meet the specific needs of HBCU presidents and aspiring leaders. The program will include:

 Executive Leadership Training: Focused on developing strategic vision, financial management, and building a diverse and inclusive campus culture.
 Mentorship and Networking: Pairing participants with experienced HBCU presidents and leaders from various fields, creating a powerful network of support.
 Policy and Advocacy Training: Equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to navigate the complex political and policy landscape affecting higher education.
 Research and Data Analysis: Providing access to HGSE’s expertise and resources to help participants make data-driven decisions for their institutions.

The HBCU Presidential Leadership Institute is set to launch in the fall of 2024 and will accept applications from HBCU presidents and aspiring leaders across the nation. This unique initiative promises to be a transformative experience for participants, equipping them with the tools and resources to lead their institutions towards continued excellence and impact.
